Restarting OS X services

Cisco’s VPN software likes to stop working on occasion. The typical solution is to run the following:

sudo kextunload -b com.cisco.nke.ipsec
sudo kextload -b com.cisco.nke.ipsec

Here’s a shortcut to restart services (I presume when they have a startup item, e.g. /System/Library/StartupItems/CiscoVPN):

sudo SystemStarter restart CiscoVPN
